unlike other blogs out there i actually waited until the year was over before posting my top five list. here are my top five albums that received the most play in the studio over the year. i could have been like everyone else and put the new avett brothers album as number one but 1) it’s only been out for a short time and 2) it’s not as good as their other albums, most notably emotionalism.

probably the greatest metal album to come out in recent memory. you can’t deny this will be an instant classic. plus it’s so accessible. you don’t have to be a metal fan to realize it’s greatness. enough said.
