who knew a hotel in the city i live in, known for banking and people living well beyond their means, actually has a hotel (even though it is Ritz-Carlton) offering eco-friendly weddings. that is a good first step for this city.

you may have noticed several posts recently concerning cool interiors, especially for smaller spaces. that’s because we are moving in the next few months and we are scaling down from a five bedroom\three bath home (which is way bigger than we need) to a smaller space. So, I have been paying a lot more attention to blogs like apartment therapy.
now for this interior, i do love this color although it tends to lean more feminine. i do like it and it would be perfect for a sitting room.

The great Michael Bierut spoke at CreativeMornings last week drawing one of its biggest crowds to date since Tina Roth Eisenberg a.k.a swissmiss started the series. After reading this review from Design is People, I had to post his pointers on a successful client and designer relationship.
1. Clients are the difference between design and art.8. “Your great client may not be my great client.” (Everyone works in different ways and has different working relationships. Even the partners within Pentagram do this.)
9. Great clients lead to more great clients. Bad clients lead to more bad clients. (Simple as the work you show and the people you invite in.)16. Be in a position to walk away from a client/project, even it it means you’ll receive “angry girlfriend letters.”
ISO50s Alex breaks down the seven most used fonts of last year. i must say, i have used Miso a bit and Futura is a given.

another great abode on apartment therapy. my family is looking to downsize and apartment therapy is a consistent source of great inspiration.

a VW hybrid in the works!?! i think i’m in love.

ever-growing collection of famous letterheads, including hitler. interesting.

great job board but i prefer my old school chalkboard.
i’m sure most studios would love to have an active board like this though especially with some of the clients listed on there.
